hey I'm Jason and I love speakers I mean everybody loves  speakers but I personally  but we  consider it or at least I consider it  and so when it came time to review the  Boston acoustic voyager 70 Outdoor Speakers black color well I had just the spot to put them.

                    now before  that we had these I was running those planters speakers you know the ones that  are cleverly concealed under a planter  okay anyway great products different  review for those the emphasis is on  style but for these well Boston acoustic  was all about quality.

 these are the  largest speakers in the Voyager line  they have a 7-inch woofer to the rest of  the line goes down to six-five and four  inch but that is a lot of basses as far as  the tweeter it's a one-inch model core  tech dome and that's a durable soft dome  fabric that's really gonna stand up to  the elements.

                                           now when you're talking  about outdoor speakers of course there's  two things you're going to need first of  all you're gonna need a powerful base  order to drive through those wide-open  spaces and in order to do that well  you're gonna need a lot of power now  let's face it those same indoor speakers  that sounds wonderful in your living room.

                    well those are gonna sound like they're  being driven by a triple-a battery when  you place them outside  fortunately, Boston Acoustics has really  designed these well making them more  efficient meaning they're gonna be  louder with less amplification in fact  they can handle amplifiers providing up  to 150 watts and that's a lot of power.

  now of course there is one more thing  you're going to need outdoor speakers and that is durability because  no matter how good they sound they're  not gonna do you any good if they melt  in the rain or sound like Bob Dylan  reciting the Gettysburg Address  underwater right so that's not good  fortunately.

                     these are pretty good  because in our tests with them we found  the build quality around the drivers and  the enclosure is really good they're gonna  last you a long time.  

the tweeter and woofer are housed in a  surprisingly large but economical box  and the design is shaped in a way for  these speakers that they can be steered  in pretty much any direction and mounted  both horizontally or vertically.

          now  mounting is actually really simple first  of all of course you got to size up your  location and once that's done just  unscrew the two side knobs and make sure  the bracket is completely removed and  mounts it the bracket has a two-kilo  slots that work in pretty much any  direction and then of course the Center.  

the hole for these speaker wires to come  from the wall, this is actually one of  the more simple solutions that we've  seen in fact it's just really easy to  mount them and place them and secure  them however you want.

                   in fact, the only downside to all this is how easy they  are to well steel because all you've got  to do is unscrew the side knobs and  under the speaker cable and you're gone  about thirty Seconds thought they were  encouraging stealing.

 but if you think  that's gonna be a problem then you  can go ahead and get an aftermarket  security bolt and then use one of the  quarter-inch threads that are on the  side of the back and you should be good  to go now let's talk about sound  outdoors where these speakers are in  their element they sound awesome  

               bob-stine acoustics is not one to  compromise on quality and making sure their speakers sound good both indoors  and outdoors and well they certainly  didn't skimp on this model.

 the Voyager  sevens have a great bass response and what  we liked about it is that it's good for  a bookshelf speaker and it's not just  the typical boom and sizzle right  they really do sound well balanced now  we did notice that there was a tad bit  of an emphasis on the lower mid-range.
